On March 7th, 2017 the Mozilla organization will release Firefox 52.0. This release will disable a set of APIs referred to as NPAPI which allowed browsers to be augmented with plugins. Smart Office Collaboration uses such a plugin. Hence, when users upgrade to Firefox 52.0, they will no longer be able to join a conference with Firefox. They will instead be asked to download a plugin but after installation, they will still see the same screen, asking them to download plugin again.
GENBAND is working towards a resolution to alleviate plug-in requirements. GENBAND is working on an optional installable application that can be launchable from any browser type.
